Seminars

Once again with Uncle MMA promotions, we were able to bring in some great athletes for students of all schools to come and learn from. Helena “Jiu Jitsu Girl” Crevar, the youngest female to receive a brown belt and who is dominating the BJJ scene overall came in December. We also had ONE Champion and Professional MMA fighter Jeff “MMA Shredded” Chan come in for some hands on technical training at another seminar who also spent some time sparring with a few of the students as well. A great experience indeed.

Muay Thai Kids Program

We said goodbye to our combination of Muay Thai and Karate program and have now gone full force Muay Thai for the kids, backed and ranked by the Dragon Leg curriculum, students were graded and ranked according to their current skill levels. This affiliation sets a higher standard for Muay Thai overall and ensures that all our students are learning the same curriculum accordingly and we remain the only affiliated and properly ranked Muay Thai school in the area.

Promotions

Kids and adults in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu were promoted during the first quarter with 1 new purple belt and 2 new blue belts in the adults program. Kids received their respective arm bands according to the new Muay Thai Dragon Leg curriculum program as well.

Windsor Enhancements

A new POS system was installed at our Windsor location allowing visitors to self-order clothing, gear, snacks, and drinks right there at our location and pickup immediately.

Jiu Jitsu Affiliation

After a lot of thought and consideration, Hybrid Training Group Inc. parted ways with the Renzo Gracie OAMA affiliation. We will be reviewing new affiliations in the coming weeks and will update you in our next newsletter or on social media when that happens. We want to make sure that the affiliation aligns with our vision and values.
