Muay Thai, a combat sport from Thailand, uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques.  It has become the foundation for many MMA fighters’ stand-up game because of its ferocious use of hands, feet, elbows and knees.  Muay Thai blends these weapons into deadly combinations, earning its nickname as “the art of eight limbs.”  Our Muay Thai follow Matee “Dragonleg” Jedeepitak’s authentic Muay Thai, a five times world champion, including the coveted Lumpinee stadium champion title. Our class will provide a mixture of shadow boxing, bag work, pad work, partner drills, and friendly sparring that will burn hundreds of calories. As you master attacks, blocks and evasions, you will progress and be tested through the Dragon Leg curriculum in order to earn different colored arm bands to recognize your achievement, this is the ranking and is done in this manner to respect and preserve the authentic Muay Thai culture. For competitors, classes and private instruction provide the specialized advanced techniques needed to win a championship, and fight training will offer a chance to test your skills in the ring!

 

Our mixed-level curriculum design allows you to train with people having different experience which becomes a great teach-and-learn system during the training. While our instructors are still on-site, this curriculum gives you more opportunities to practice and understand the techniques. “The best way to learn is to teach.” Our members are always willing to share their experience. Through the mutual teaching experience, you also get to know various people from different backgrounds and they become your friends and second family here at Hybrid Training Academy Windsor & Lakeshore.
