We’re thrilled here at HTA about this revolutionary new program that is one of a kind in Windsor-Essex.
We’ve got an A-list of experienced female instructors guiding you through Boxing, Conditioning, Jiu Jitsu, Kickboxing, and Pilates. And don’t feel overwhelmed, you got this! The goal of this program is to help regain confidence, improve self-esteem, all while conditioning your body for better stamina and strength. You take this as far as you want to go.
Our instructors are trained and experienced in what they teach, often competing in their respective disciplines and have been doing so for years.
Here’s what’s in store so far:
Kickboxing
Sometimes the best way to release stress after a hard day is some intense physical activity. Kickboxing offers a healthy way to get some of the day’s frustrations out of your system, which will also help you get a better night’s sleep and improve mental clarity.
Pilates
Just 1 of the many benefits, targeting the deeper abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor to both contract and release — a true sign of strength. These muscles work like a brace to lift and support the organs and protect and stabilize the back.
Combining martial arts techniques and heart-pumping cardio, our program is a high-energy workout that is guaranteed to burn calories and fat.
You’ll often have to wait for the best time to make an escape or bait an opponent. When trying to escape, you’ll need to patiently defeat each of your opponent’s obstacles before successfully making an escape.
After training for an extended period of time you’ll have an impressive list of successes when sparring which will help build confidence. You’ll also eventually progress and prove that you can survive on the mats. The self-defence benefits of jiu jitsu might also help to inspire confidence when you’re out of the gym.
There’s nothing sexier than being able to kick some butt, and look great doing it. The intensity of the program means you’ll see improvements and results quickly.
I’ve personally entered my gym on numerous occasions with stress or after experiencing a bad day. Every time I step off the mats later that night after a class, I feel mentally clear and often forget what I was worried about in the first place.
Above all else, this program is challenging but fun. The first time you pull off a successful technique in training you will be elated. When your game plan comes off perfectly, or you roll with a trusted training partner and mix in some fun, innocent, and healthy trash talking you’ll realise just how much fun it is! And if that’s not enough here’s a few other benefits of the program:
Our classes cover beginner to advanced skill levels, training people who want to stay fit and those who actively fight at an amateur level.
The class typically break down into warm-ups, intense activity mixed with coaching instruction, and a brief cool down. After the warm-up, the instructor will teach a daily technique(s) that she would like you to focus on and you partner up with your classmate to practice. The class usually will finish up with some conditioning.
You're not alone, and YES YOU CAN do this! Our instructors will work to get you back into shape and even stronger than before! Boosting your self-esteem, confidence and giving you that extra push when you need it.
Take things at your own pace, believe it or not some of our members are almost at retirement age.
